The workshop will focus on the main principles of CBCT data acquisition for the purpose of implant planning. The intra-oral scanning techniques and then the CAD/CAM techniques to ensure you can plan a safe implant case. Then we will discuss the design and production process of producing a usable surgical guide. Finally we will show the fabrication process using 3D printing and finishing.

This will include:

• Essentials for CBCT scanning whilst meeting guidelines
• Intra-oral scanning to use restoratively-guided protocol
• Exploring the entire CAD protocol including immediate loading
• Pilot vs. fully guided
• Guidance on how to design surgical guides
• Key points to ensure well-fitting surgical guides
• Fabrication and finishing of guides with 3D printing using envisionTEC hardware and resins
